Former AG to be accorded official funeral tomorrow

EMERY WINSTON Robertson Sr., former Member of Parliament and former Attorney General, who passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020, will be accorded an Official Funeral tomorrow Wednesday, September 9.

According to a release from the Cabinet Secretary, official viewing of the body will be held tomorrow, at the House of Assembly from 10:00 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. Officials will be invited to the viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and the general public from 11:00 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. There will also be a viewing at the church from 12:30 p.m. to 12:55 p.m.

The funeral service will take place tomorrow, at the Roman Catholic Cathedral, Kingstown, commencing at 2:00 p.m. This will be preceded by open tributes from 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Kingstown Cemetery.

As a mark of respect, all flags throughout the State will be flown at half-mast on Wednesday, September 9th, 2020. Please be advised that the family has requested that there should be no taking of photographs of the body during the viewing periods.

“The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines takes this opportunity to extend sincere condolences to the family of the late Mr Emery Winston Robertson during this period of bereavement,” the release said.
