SVG Indian Heritage Foundation cancels events in light of Covid-19
PRESIDENT of the SVG Indian Heritage Foundation Junior Bacchus and all members have expressed solidarity with all Vincentians at home and in the Diaspora and empathize with all countries around the world, including motherland India, that have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) over the past months. “Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost loved ones, those out of jobs and all those feeling the effects of this worldwide situation”.
In this regard, the Foundation regrets to inform that its activities as follows will be cancelled: 1. Annual Re-enactment of Indian Arrival Day and Rally June 1st 2. Yoga classes in June 2020 3. Training in Indian cuisine August 2020 4. Awards Dinner and Cultural Evening October 2020- Indian Heritage Day October 7th Any inconvenience caused by these cancellations is deeply regretted.
According to the president, the Foundation takes this worldwide situation seriously and implores everyone to be cautious, listen to the authorities; be responsible and sensitive individually and collectively.
“We trust that tests can be done widely and a vaccine be found to curb this deadly virus.”
