COVID-19 frontline workers to get $10,000 worth of fuel from SOL

SOL EC LTD (St Vincent and the Grenadines) will contribute XCD$10,000 worth of fuel vouchers to the Ministry of Health to be distributed to medical professionals on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company, in a release issued April 6 said SOL “wants to recognise our medical heroes who make the trip every day to provide support and health care to our communities.

“We especially acknowledge those medical professionals combatting the novel COVID-19 (Coronavirus) directly on the frontlines, who, everyday make that trip to and from their place of work. To make that trip a little easier, we at Sol are contributing $10,000 XCD in fuel vouchers to the Ministry of Health.”

The fuel vouchers, which are valid from April 6, 2020, are redeemable at all Sol service stations towards fuel purchases.

social distancing and proper hygiene practices, as we all play our part and support our medical heroes.

“We take our corporate responsibility seriously and are mindful of the vital role that our products and services play in the communities in which we operate. Steve Francis, General Manager of Sol expressed: “This is just our way of saying thanks and supporting those individuals helping others.”

We are focused on maintaining a continued, healthy work environment, and have taken extensive preventative measures to protect our staff and their families from exposure to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), to ensure that we continue to provide our products and services safely to our customers,” the release from SOL said.
