NEMO to hold Town Hall meeting at Sion Hill

Residents of Sion Hill Bay and Bay Hill are invited to participate in a Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, September 28, at the Bay Hill Apartments at Sion Hill Bay, beginning at 6.00 p.m.

During the meeting, representatives of the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) will deliver a presentation designed to increase awareness and also provide information on tsunamis in the coastal community of Sion Hill Bay, with emphasis on the science, signs, expected impacts and preparedness for tsunamis, the location of assembly points and evacuation routes, inter alia.

This activity forms part of the UNESCO, IOC, CARIBE, EWS Tsunami project that has been developed for St Vincent and the Grenadines.
