o A crocodile cannot stick its tongue out.

o Polar bears can smell a human being from 20 miles away.

o Elephants are the only animals that cannot jump.

o Starfishes don’t have brains.

o Tigers have striped skin as well as striped fur.

o Dolphins sleep with one eye open.

o A blue whale’s tongue weighs more than an elephant.

o A pregnant goldfish is called a twit.

o A cockroach will live nine days without its head, before it dies of starvation.
 

o Butterflies taste with their feet.

o Tarantulas can go for up to two years without eating.

o Anteaters can stick their tongue out up to 160 times a minute.

o Mother tarantulas kill 99 per cent of the babies they hatch.

o Bats always turn left when leaving a cave.
 

o The house fly hums in the middle octave key of F.

o Flamingoes can eat only with their heads upside down.

o Owls are the only birds that see the colour blue.

o Pigeons are the only birds that can drink water without having to raise their heads to swallow.

o A duck’s quack doesn’t echo, and no one knows why.

o The longest recorded flight of a chicken is 13 seconds.

o Ants can survive for two weeks underwater and they always fall onto their right side when intoxicated.
