We in SVG did not pay enough attention to the Agriculture Sector

Editor: That is indeed an understatement! And all those of us who understand the history of our country are blameable, if we cannot show that we had made identifiable conscientious efforts which would have enhanced the starving off, the prevention, of the crippling malaise which is suffocating us today.

In this responsibility the ULP headed by Ralph Gonsalves are doubly blameable, for it was on their promise in 2001 that they were going to revitalize Agriculture, which to a large degree influenced the overwhelming support they had from the people.

Had the ULP- Ralph Gonsalves, the ODD- Renwick Rose, WINFA and others, been faithful to those seemingly sincere promises, the last two decades could have been more productive for St Vincent and the Grenadines and we would certainly have been in a stronger position now, to cope with COVID-19 pandemic and the related issues.

We have to rebuild the Agriculture Sector!
