Roland Peters giving hope to the commuinty of Coulls Hill

EDITOR: The Roland Peters Scholarship Foundation brings joy to children in Coulls Hill. The Roland Peters scholarship foundation (RPSF), which is it in second year, handed out scholarships to eight children of Coulls Hill. Criteria for qualification for the scholarships included students writing an essay about how a scholarship will help them, providing a character reference and being promoted to a new class.{{more}}

The scholarships were handed over on Sunday, August 23, at the Coulls Hill Methodist Church. The RPSF was founded by, and is financed by myself, a registered nurse by profession and soca, artiste who goes by the name of ‘Pressure.’ The inspiration for giving out the scholarships relates to the fact that the same challenges that existed during my time as a child in regard to getting materials for school still exist in the community today. Many persons from the community applauded the effort and expressed happiness at the gesture. I support education and I am looking forward to continue aiding children from the community.
