Activities planned to celebrate ACE week


EDITOR: Adult and Continuing Education ACE will be celebrating Adult Education Week September 7 -11, 2015.

Activities Planned To Celebrate ACE Week include:

1. Public Relations Day on September 7, 2015, where staff members will be dispatched to the various media houses to discuss Adult Education Week. Zonal Day for zones on the Windward side of the island. Activities will include a Bake-off Competition at the Biabou Learning Resource Centre,{{more}} Registration of new learners at the Adult and Continuing Education office in Marriaqua and house-to-house mobilization in Kingstown.

2. A Church Service will be convened at the Kingstown Methodist Church from 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. At this church service, the Department will be honouring its past leaders.

3. Zonal Activity Day for zones on the Leeward side of the island on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. Activities will include Town Hall Meeting on Geothermal Energy at the Barrouallie Learning Resource Centre from 5 p.m.

4. An exhibition at Heritage Square on Thursday, September 10, 2015. This exhibition will include a live DJ, learner testimonies, exhibiting garments, woodwork, food and craft done by our learners. There will be an appreciation of facilitators at this event.

5. An API documentary on the history of Adult and Continuing Education in St Vincent and the Grenadines will be aired during the week of activities.

6. Each zone will be convening a Zonal Activity to commemorate ACE week.

7. Work Study Tour at the Argyle International Airport on Friday, September 11, 2015.
