Five judges ruled against God!

Editor: Five judges in black robes cleared the way for same-sex “marriages” across the United States of America in a ruling handed down by the Supreme Court on Friday, June 26. Five judges ruled against God!

The definition of marriage cannot be created by five judges in black robes sitting on a Supreme Court bench. Marriage preceded them and all human courts of law. It can only be defined by the One who designed it – our Creator Himself.{{more}} God defines it clearly as a union between one man and one woman, as he spoke the following words in Genesis 2: 24: “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”

The structural core of this institution surrounds one man and one woman. It does not embrace people of the same sex. Where such persons are included, the very core of the institution is destroyed and the definition changed. This is what the Supreme Court did on Friday, June 26.

I read a great portion of the majority judgment from the Supreme Court, written by Justice Kennedy. His judgment was obviously flawed. I agree with Justice Roberts’ summary of that judgment, as he dissented in his own opinion.

“The truth is that today’s decision rests on nothing more than the majority’s own conviction that same-sex couples should be allowed to marry because they want to, and that “it would disparage their choices and diminish their personhood to deny them this right.” Ante, at 19.

So, five judges made a ruling, not based on law or the constitution, but based on their own personal belief that since homosexuals desire marriage, refusing them that opportunity would be belittling their personhood. So, create an “imaginary” right and give it to gays – the right to same-sex marriage.

If we understand that rights are endowed to us by our Creator and not created and given from the legal bench, we would see how flawed this is. Marriage is not a right. It is an opportunity provided by the state in recognition of what God instituted for the natural benefit for families and society as a whole. When it is recognized by the state as between a man and a woman, it is a moral provision which supports the fundamental right to life. Whenever this opportunity is provided to homosexuals, however, it is an obscene provinity (as we call it in our church) that serves no moral benefit to society, but engenders both physical and psychological harm to persons involved. That is what the five judges did on June 26 – provided an obscene opportunity by law for homosexuals to be recognized as “married”.

The protection of the right to religious liberty of Americans, so clearly spelt out in the first amendment of their constitution, is facing a dismal future based on this recent ruling of the court. Justice Roberts warns that “people of faith can take no comfort in the treatment they receive from the majority today.” Cases will be brought to that court citing discrimination against homosexuals where Christian adoption agencies may refuse to offer children to same-sex couples for adoption. A court which sees the Christian’s views of marriage as one which “disparage”, “lock…out” “disrespect and subordinate” and wound homosexuals will certainly interpret that Christian adoption agency as doing the same thing.

We have to wet our proverbial house, St Vincent and the Grenadines. We have to assert our right as a sovereign people to refuse international interference upon our local anti-buggery laws. We have to remember too that our right to religious liberty is inalienable and is the chief enemy of the same-sex agenda. We must never embrace and give credence to the unnatural deviant sexual perversion of sodomy. Sodom and Gomorrah are waste places today because God brought judgments on them for this very practice. Sodomites have the same rights as all human beings, and this is the basis of our equality. This does not include the practice of sodomy…that is an unnatural sexual deviance, not a right!
