Canash beach clean-up – finally

Editor: As a Ratho Mill resident for all my life, I watched with growing dismay as Canash Beach turned into a graveyard for boats and our once beautiful and tranquil beach became unpleasant and ugly.{{more}}

What a happy and triumphant few days last week, as we saw all the wrecks removed and our beach restored to its pristine self. I would like to offer heartfelt thanks to all those who made this happen – not least to Bert Williams, who waged a tireless campaign. And, of course, to the Government, who ultimately made this happen.

Finally, to those who caused this problem in the first place, no names published, but you and I know who you are, shame on you for polluting and blighting our lovely space. We need to be vigilant to make sure this does not happen again.
