God is Omnipresent

Fri Jan 30, 2015

Editor: Let me, on behalf of my family and myself, express our deepest condolences to those who have lost loved ones in the tragic accident which took place at Rock Gutter on Monday, January 12, 2015. I know that it is hard for you to lose anyone in that way, especially young ones.{{more}}I pray that God would give you the strength to cope. Proverbs 3:5 states, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path.” Leaning on our own understanding would not give us the answer to the “Why?” we are asking now. Sometimes with our finite minds we try to understand things that only the infinite God knows the answer to.

Many of us will ask questions like, “Where was God and why did He allow such a thing to happen?” My answer to that is that God is always there because God is omnipresent. As to the why, well only God knows. You see, God knows the end from the beginning. He sees what we cannot see. A lot of us may also question why so many young and innocent persons died and there are so many wicked people who continue to do their wicked deeds from day to day and nothing seems to happen to them. Well, only God has the answer and until Christ returns these things will continue to happen. My final word to those hurting persons is taken from Psalms 119:169 and it says, “Let my cry come near before thee, O Lord: give me understanding according to thy word.” Only He alone will give you the understanding you are seeking and help you to cope and come out stronger.
