Should Vincentians accept homosexuality?

Tue Mar 18, 2013

EDITOR: Well, it seems as though Vincentians will be pressured in the near future to accept homosexuality as a normal way of life, based on what I heard from the SVG Evening News on Tuesday, March 11.{{more}}

But it would certainly be WRONG for anyone to accept homosexuality as being alright. God’s Word clearly condemns homosexuality. Romans 1:26, 27 show us plainly that God does NOT approve of lesbians (women with women) and homosexuals (men with men). In verse 26, it speaks of lesbians as changing their natural use, doing what is against nature. In verse 27, it speaks of men with men working what is unseemly. Unseemly means “NOT proper, NOT fitting, NOT dignified”. Also, that verse speaks of men with men as being an error, thus WRONG. So, homosexuality is a SIN, men with men and women with women.

Furthermore, 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10 points out that homosexuals will NOT inherit the Kingdom of God. Therefore, homosexuality should NEVER be accepted. God does NOT approve of such a lifestyle. I am NOT saying that we should hate homosexuals. For God indicates at 1 Corinthians 6:11 that he will accept those who change from a homosexual lifestyle, making themselves clean morally and spiritually through Christ. So, we can love the individual, the way God loves mankind in general, (John 3:16) treat them kindly as we would others, but we hate the homosexual lifestyle.

Do not reject the homosexual (including lesbian) as a person, but REJECT the homosexual lifestyle.
