Exercise this, exercise that, exercise everything

If you cannot change the things around you, change the way you look at things.

Whether you have mental or physical adversities, see them as exercises.

Just as the body pushes weights in order to grow, the mind must push weights in order to grow. Just exercise. Exercise the mind, and the body will follow.

Exercise the mindset to overcome procrastination, rationalization, laziness, food temptations and discouragement. Exercise some honesty with yourself. Exercise the will to get out and hit the gym.

Exercise the disciplines of patience, focus, endurance, humility and understanding. The patience to know it will take a while before you see results. The focus to keep your eyes on your prize. The endurance to see your goal through to the end. Humility to be graceful about your accomplishments, willingness to learn more and share your knowledge to help your fellow brothers or sisters. And finally understanding the importance of preserving the body. Exercise some thought in knowing that the body is the vessel that carries the soul. The car is the vessel that carries the body. However, you can replace a bad car part. You cannot easily replace an unhealthy body part.

Preserve the body your primary vessel. Start by being willing to exercise your mindset to embrace the larger challenges – the challenges within yourself.
