I am true bred Vincentian

But it hurts my heart to see

The segregation among us daily

Brothers against brothers

Families fighting each other down

Everyday political disunity

On the streets of SVG

Economic hardship all over the world

That put our backs up against the wall

But we can’t let we country fall{{more}}

We have to unite, come together and stick through it all

I remember growing up as a boy

I watched my parents toil and toil

Loyalty and commitment

What humility they displayed

Put differences aside

Make every sacrifice

Its up to you and me I say, to carry that torch today

We cannot live in the past

We have to act now and move fast

Though it might be difficult to conceive

We have to hold fast, stay strong, stand firm and believe.

As a united people

If we uncerstand our history

We can plot and plan our destiny
