I have my own individuality

Editor: It is unfortunate that in such a small society as ours, and the fact that we claim to possess intellect within our populace, I am often reminded to be cautious when making certain decisions regarding my future, for fear of being rejected and victimized.{{more}}

Am I supposed to put my life on hold and not pursue my dreams and aspirations, which by the way, will not only benefit me personally, but will significantly contribute to the development of my beloved country just because of who my relatives are? I say NO!! A line from one of my favourite songs says “You can choose your friends but you cannot choose who you’re related to.” I refuse to be discouraged by negative ideas. I believe in God, and in a daily mindset of positivity and faith that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” I also believe that people ought to have the personal freedom to express their individuality and not be bogged down by the false ego of anyone.

So, thanks for your concern, but I refuse to allow society to dictate my destiny, because, I have my own individuality.
