Nine Police Officers celebrate 24 years in the Constabulary

Tue, Jan 10. 2012

Editor: On Saturday, January 16, 1988, 26 young men and four young women took the oath at the Central Police Station to become police officers.{{more}} The following day, Sunday, January 17, these 30 recruits left St Vincent and the Grenadines to join thirty-six other recruits from the region at the Regional Police Training Center (RPTC) in Barbados to commence their initial training on January 18, 1988.

Twenty-four years later there are only nine remaining and they will be celebrating their 24th anniversary in the Constabulary on Monday, January 16, 2012.

I now take this opportunity to congratulate these fine officers on their continued service in this organization.

They are as follows: Station Sergeants Craig and Dougan; Sergeants 491 Morgan, 145 Chandler and 474 Maloney; Corporals 424 Matthews, 61 Connor and 309 Foyle; the other one to make up the nine is Collin John, Crown Counsel.

I wish you all the best as you celebrate this milestone in your life as law enforcement officers and hope that in the not too distant future you will be rewarded handsomely.
