We ought to obey God rather than man

Fri, Oct 14. 2011

Editor: Attorneys Kay Bacchus-Browne and Jomo Thomas have voiced their opinions about the death penalty, and of a truth, it is shown that their “wisdom” descended not from above, but is earthly, sensual and devilish. - James 3:15.

It was Satan in the beginning that opposed the authority of Yahweh and was cast out of heaven and has deceived Eve and Adam and is still deceiving men today, that they may reject and fight against the just authority of Yahweh whose right it is to be the source and originator of the philosophical, moral and ultimate social and cultural order and function of society and the universe, as the CREATOR.

God had said (and these truths are eternal) – “whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.” Gen 9:6.

Mrs. Browne has described capital punishment as “Barbaric, gruesome and backward”.

Are you saying, Mrs. Browne, that Yahweh, who has given the state the authority to carry out the death penalty as just punishment FOR MURDER is “Barbaric, gruesome and backward?” This is absurd, to say the least. Why fight against the God of heaven who is light and in him is no darkness at all? Are you wiser than God?

She has also spoken of the experiences she had viewing the death penalty being carried out and said: “it was traumatic” – that is psychologically painful. This is a perverted sense of sympathy for the criminals. Rather than sympathizing with the family whose loved ones were murdered, she is showing sympathy towards the criminal. This ought to be seen as perverted and stupid sympathy, where you would allow the criminal to get away with wrong, by fostering wrong emotions without administering just and equitable punishment. That is why our society is the way it is!

Yahweh indeed intends that the death penalty should have a psychological effect upon the hearts of men, for the protection of the right to life, hence the reason why the state is instructed to implement it. God says, “so thou shalt put the evil from among you”, and “all the people shall hear and fear, and do no more presumptuously”. Mrs. Bacchus-Browne fails to realise that it is because of the fear of death that the murderer had the experience she described: “they jerked, ejaculated, and excreted”. But my question to her is what about defenseless Stacy Wilson, who in all terror sought to escape for her life and was brutally slain like an animal in the bus terminal? Where is the sympathy for her? What about the old lady who was raped and strangled? What about the women who in their home cannot sleep at nights for fear for their own lives by their partners. Where is the sympathy for these people?

Finally, dear Editor and readers, I must show you the truth concerning the God of the First witness and the God of the second witness – Jesus Christ, in light of what Jomo Thomas seems to do in making a difference between Christianity and Yahwehism. He said, “But I wonder how zealously religious persons square their desire for blood and death with the central mission of Jesus which speaks of forgiveness, redemption and salvation.” We are told in Scriptures that Yahweh is the only Saviour , “I, even I, am the LORD, and besides me there is no Saviour.” Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me for there is no saviour beside me”. (Isaiah 43:11, Hosea 13:4) We are also shown that a Saviour is born – Jesus Christ. “And the angel said unto them, Fear not, for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shalt be to all people. For unto you is born in the city of David a saviour, which is Christ the LORD. And she shalt bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shalt save his people from their sins. (Luke 2:10,11 and Matthew 1:21) So the God of the first witness who gave the command that whoso sheddeth man’s blood , by man shall his blood be shed is the same God of the second witness and Christ Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13;8 FOR THE PRESERVATION OF SOCIETY, THE DEATH PENALTY IS THE SOLUTION FOR THE CRIME OF MURDER!
