Open letter to Minister of Works about those ‘between fares’

Tue, Aug 16. 2011

Dear Sir:

Please allow me to explain what I mean by “Between Fares”. This refers to fares for villages found between points for which a specific fare is published. Here are four examples:

Rillan = $2.00 and Vermont =$3.00

Penniston comes between those two villages. How much is the fare for Penniston?{{more}}

Rillan =$2.00 and Buccament=$3.00

Pembroke and Cane Grove come between those two villages. How much is the fare for Pembroke and Cane Grove?

Wallilabou= $4.00 and Spring Village=$5.00

Gordon Yard comes between those two villages. How much is the fare for Gordon Yard?

Coulls Hill=$5.00 and Petit Bordel=$6.00

Troumaca and Rose Bank come between those two villages. How much is the fare for Troumaca and Rose Bank?

If the “Between Fares” are left to the bus owners, it is more than likely that commuters from these places/villages will be overcharged.

I would appreciate your looking into this matter, and spelling out the fares for us.
