Please support the Argyle Airport project

Tue, Aug 9, 2011

Editor: It is certainly good news that the ground is about to be broken for the terminal building at the site of the Argyle International Airport.

I have to put aside politics and personal feelings toward the ULP.{{more}}As a Vincentian who puts country first before politics and party, I must say here that I supported the Argyle international airport from day one. Although I was not in St.Vincent at the time, I made certain to listen online to the PM’s address at the Methodist church, launching the project. I have promised myself that I will contribute financially to the project before it is completed. Even though I have been in Aviation for 90% of my working life, I don’t consider myself biased toward the project. In my opinion, and from experience, this project has the potential to transform the economy of St.Vincent and the Grenadines and the lives of Vincentians in a monumental way.

I encourage all Vincentians, irrespective of your political persuasion, to support this project, as all stand to benefit. I look forward to its completion for Christmas 2013 and landing at Argyle in my own private plane. I wouldn’t even have to take a cab. I could just walk home.
