Marriage is sacred… Homosexuality isn’t!

Editor: Tireless efforts are continually being made in different countries to redefine marriage – a sacred institution given by the Creator for the sustenance and happiness of the human race.{{more}}

More than six thousand years have passed since its origin in the Garden of Eden and its definition remains the same – between a man and a woman. “And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” Gen.2:22-24. So, the cleaving together is not a union between Adam and Steve or Eve and Ellen!

Homosexual organisations and activists are working vigorously to have their unions recognised by law and lawmakers are giving in to these campaigns for one reason or another, political or otherwise. As recent as July 24 this year, it was reported that same-sex unions have been legalised in New York, becoming the largest state to pass the law. Sodomites unions are permitted in five other states, including Connecticut, Iowa and Massachusetts. A nation founded upon the principles of the Almighty God is swiftly turning its back on the same God who ordained marriage to be between a man and a woman. Soon they’ll have to change the dictionary’s definition as well which describes marriage as “the legal contract by which a woman and a man become wife and husband.” What folly and confusion! Yea, what depravity!

We are not left without an understanding of God’s displeasure for such unnatural practice and lifestyle. We just have to refresh our memories with the account at Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 19. Man sleeping with man is still a hateful practice. “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”Lev.18:22

And it must be understood that speaking against homosexuality and admonishing sodomites to change their sinful ways is not equal to hating them or encouraging any anti-right, violent acts towards them. There are those who think that homosexuals should not be criticised because it is just ‘an alternative lifestyle’ I may not be able to influence those who are bent on this life-destructive choice, but don’t brand me as a hater because I agree with God that your behaviour is unnatural and that you will feel His wrath if you do not repent! I love you, so I warn you. “Open rebuke is better than secret love” Proverbs 27:5

Despite the bold concerted efforts by homosexuals and their sympathizers to push their ideology and way of life, Marriage remains sacred- holy, worthy of or regarded with reverence, sacrosanct! Those who fight against it by seeking to redefine it are showing gross disrespect to the Originator-God. Remember, MARRIAGE IS SACRED, homosexuality isn’t!
