The attempts to amend or not to amend the Criminal Procedure Code would most certainly have had different reactions if the readers had understood what they were saying. How can they refer to paragraphs of laws if they know that the average person does not have access to look it up. S/he would have to consult a lawyer. You have made some very valid points and I wish that articles of significance, where someone wants to gain maximum attention and reaction from people, would be written in a language which is understood by everybody, not just persons who studied Law.
