The people’s right to abolish you

03.DEC.10

Editor: “…Whenever any form of government becomes destructive…it is the RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government…to effect their safety and happiness” The Declaration of Independence of America – 1776.{{more}}

But your heart was lifted up above thy brethren – your own citizens by whom you have the positions that you hold today. You forget that your duty is to foster happiness in the land by protecting the inalienable rights of man. Instead you have created fear in the heart of your own citizens, due to your own insecurities. Anesia Baptiste – home on half pay, sixteen charges because she shows the danger of socialism and burst your bubble; Mr. Feagon Hamilton, no job because he refuses to side with corruption; Otto Sam – transferred several times, now at home simply because for conscience sake; he opposes that which by his own conscience he sees as wrong; the boycotting of The News newspaper – whose editor seeks to promote freedom of expression without discrimination.

These are fear tactics that you use to stifle freedom of expression in the land. Mind you, freedom of expression for you is not for all – you fail to realize that your governance should be based on the notion “equality under law”. For this cause you fail miserably.

You boast of all the accomplishments that you have done for St. Vincent and the Grenadines. You have asked “what you want me to do”? I am saying to you, Mr. Prime Minister, that you had no choice but to continue to finance the different ministries of the government to continue to aid in the protection of the rights and freedom of man, for that is part of your duty to Invest in proper health services, provided educational opportunities, build roads, bridges etc. That is why we pay taxes.

The Vincentian public has no more confidence in you anymore, Mr. Prime Minster; you have hardened your heart in your evil communistic ways. You must learn your lesson well – that Leaders are to be a terror to evil works and not to those who for conscience sake seek to please God.
