Please reflect on SVG’s progress

29.OCT.10

Editor: The celebration of Independence in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is an opportunity for us to reflect on the progress made in the country and the many citizens who have helped to move the country forward. Also, the many institutions that have been responsible for leading and nurturing people over the years.{{more}}

In particular, I would like to mention at this time the St. Vincent Girls’ High School which is well on its way to celebrating 100 years on May 8, 2011. The countdown is progressing with various activities to commemorate this remarkable milestone.

The young people should be familiar with and treasure these institutions, whether it be church, school or any other social organization of this ilk, and all should be encouraged to give thanks for them.They have been instrumental in inculcating positive values in the nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

We thank all for their positive contributions.

Happy 31st Independence to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
