How could people be so cruel to animals?

Editor: In your newspaper dated the 3rd of September I read Dr. Colin Boyle’s article “Those Stray Dogs”. I read with disgust that someone should stoop so low to abandon a helpless animal and at the same time admire Dr. Colin Boyle for making cruelty to animals public. If we all did something positive when we see dreadful treatment of animals then maybe, just maybe these people would see the shame in their ways.
