A great day in the life of SVG Parliament

Editor: On Monday, May 31, 2010, the Honourable members of the SVG Honourable House were indeed very honourable.

Their contributions on the debate on the OECS Union Motion were well researched and well presented.{{more}}

All Members who participated in today’s debate made excellent contributions. The decorum in the Honourable House was impeccable.

All members shone like stars. However, special mention must be made of the presentations of Opposition Leader, Arnhim Eustace; Prime Minister, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves; Culture Minister Rene Baptiste; Transport and Works Minister, Clayton Burgin; and Health Minister, Douglas Slater.

This is one of the days we – at home and in the Diaspora – can feel justly proud to be a Vincentians.

I am glad the proceedings from Parliament are broadcast live and audio streamed around the world.

Well done, Representatives and Senators. Take a bow!!!
