Bomb threat at hospital a very sick act indeed!

13.MAR.08

Editor: I join with the many Vincentians who described the bomb threat to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital as a ‘sick act’. How can someone be so heartless and cold? It was really a disgusting prank. I pray to God that the culprit is caught and fully penalized.{{more}}

To have patients – men, women and children with all kinds of illnesses and health complications forced to vacate the institution where they are treated and cared for is NO JOKE.

As I reflect upon the results of such a devious act, it confirms further how true the word of God is in affirming that ‘…because iniquity (lawlessness) shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold’ Mat. 24:12.

It is becoming more and more evident that there is a general coldness in relations between human beings all over the world. Little or no thoughtfulness and care is shown towards each other. Even the natural affections that should exist between parent and child, man and woman etc is lacking generally.

Whether people want to believe it or not, this is as a result of the constant rejection of GOD (LOVE) – the Creator. Many have got to the point where they seek to put off all restraints of godliness in their lives, as they behave and live as though there is no one to give account to, but themselves. This is a sad state! Yes, sad, but though sometimes hard to bear, not entirely surprising, when we consider that God is true in outlining the natural results or consequences of man’s disobedience to His commandments or rejection of His great love.

In 11 Timothy 3:1-5, we are told ‘This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection,trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those who are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.’

As perilous as the times are and will continue to become, you, readers, have an opportunity now to escape the terrible destruction that is to come upon the unrepentant. Today as you hear His voice of warning harden not your heart…repent and believe the Gospel, get the spiritual mind which brings you into law keeping.( see Heb.3:7,8: Mk 1:15,: Rom.8:6-8).

To you the heartless perpetrator/s of such a disgusting act (bomb threat), you better do what is right and face the just consequences of your action. Do not think that you will get away. You may be able to escape the law of SVG, but God knows who you are. You cannot escape His just judgement, ‘for God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.’ Eccl.12:14
