Who is telling the truth?

14.DEC.07

Editor: As we look at what religious organizations are teaching about Mary, it is a shame and disgrace.

When we compare the lies that men have told about Mary with what the scripture actually says, we should not be silent as Christians. In this short letter, I can only expose a few of these lies, but enough to show that there is a conspiracy to intercept our salvation through Christ.{{more}}

Men have lied to us and said, “For God has committed to Mary the treasury of all good things, in order that everyone may know that through her are obtained every hope, every grace, and ALL SALVATION. For this is his will that we obtain everything through Mary.” [Pope Pius IX, Ubi Primum, 1849]

However, the scriptures consistently reinforce that it is “through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be saved…” [Acts 15:11]

Is it possible to obtain through Mary what we obtain through Jesus? Before Mary came on the scene, how were people saved? Why must men go to such blasphemous lengths to trample the Son of Yahweh, and count the sanctifying blood of the covenant as an unholy thing, and insult the Spirit of grace?

How about this despicable fabrication, “it is the will of God that we obtain favors through Mary, let everyone hasten to have recourse [turn for assistance] to Mary.” [Pope Pius XII, Superiore Anno, 1940]

What assistance can Mary offer us, and where is it found in ALL the writings of the inspired Apostles?

Jesus Himself commands us to ask the FATHER in the Jesus’ name: “Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.” [John 14:13-14 – BBE] Where is the equivalent command concerning Mary? Only conjecture and hypothesis are put forward. Why is it necessary to seek Mary to win Yahweh’s favour and guidance, when this is precisely Jesus’ role? How many Hail Marys are said, in comparison to one sincere prayer to the Father in Jesus’ name?

Why is it necessary for men to go to such lengths to set Jesus at naught?

Open your eyes, dear reader, do not make excuses for these wretched men, who boast, “…at the command of Mary all obey, even God. She is omnipotent, …since the Son’s power also belongs to the mother, this mother is made omnipotent by an omnipotent Son.

“…God has put the whole church not only under her patronage, but even under the power and authority, of Mary.” [The Glories of Mary. Chapter 6, Page 114. By ‘Saint’ Alphonsus Liguori. He was declared ‘Venerable’ May 4, 1796; was beatified in 1816, and canonized in 1839. In 1871 he was declared a Doctor of the Church.]

Sacrilege! Blasphemy! How could such a claim be made by a so-called ‘saint’? Instead of being soundly declared as a heretic, his maniacal writings were used to formulate doctrine and dogma!

I thank Yahweh that His Word leads me away from such foolishness. We read, “…[Yahweh] raised [CHRIST] from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

“Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

“And hath put all things under [Christ’s] feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body…” [Ephesians 1:20-23]

In the face of such clear testimony, that Jesus exceeds in power and authority far above EVERY name (including Mary), and is head and the body of the Church (of which Mary is a disciple); how could men have the disrespect for the Godhead to declare Mary omnipotent [all-powerful]; equal to the Godhead, that even the Godhead obeys her; and the church is under her power and authority? The scripture well declares of such, “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.” [1 John 2:22]

Men have lied to us, telling us that Mary is ‘full of Grace.’ O heresy of heresies.

There is only One who is full of Grace. Yes, you guessed right, it’s Jesus. “…the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, …full of grace and truth.” [John 1:14]

The scripture does not say that Mary is or ever was, full of grace. We find it says, “…Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.” [Luke 1:28]

The phrase ‘highly favoured’ is the Greek ‘charitoo’ – to show grace. Grace is Yahweh’s abundant goodness to sinful fallen mankind.

If Mary had to be shown grace, it was a testimony that she needed a Saviour just like the rest of us, as she testified, “my spirit hath rejoiced in God my saviour.” [Luke 1:47]

There is an ancient conspiracy still playing out today, to in the least supplement Jesus, and at the most to replace Him.

Our salvation is too precious to entrust to any other than the one who is Creator, who died for our sins and conquered death for us. That one is Jesus the only Christ, not Mary.
