We are living in very troublesome times

EDITOR: “Are we ripe for God’s Judgment”? Ladies and Gentlemen, we are living in very troublesome times. The many occurrences and things taking place around us make us wonder if we are ripe for God’s judgment.

We are witnessing the things that occurred in Noah’s day that caused God to destroy the world. Immorality is the norm of the day, lack of respect for elders and each other, disobedience, lack of discipline in the home, the acceptance of gays and lesbians as the way of life, same sex marriages, partying and crimes, the rise in prostitution and illegal drugs.{{more}}

HIV/AIDS infection is rising, yet people continue their lifestyle of sexual looseness. Maybe the time will come when prostitution will be legalized.

People no longer know how to solve a problem in a peaceful way. There is a lack of trust, honesty is no longer something to cherish. Instead we are seeing selfishness, lack of love, hatred, jealousy and dishonesty, just to name a few.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Bible and its teachings, no longer seem important to us. We have religion, but not a relationship. Then tell me “are we not provoking the Lord to anger”? We ask ourselves the question “how much longer will it be before the Lord Judges the world”? Indeed we throw righteousness and holy living out of the window. We no longer hold sacred the teachings of CHRIST.

Since God destroyed Noah’s world with a flood because their wickedness had reached heaven, surely we are not far from God’s judgment. However, it is important to realize that the lawless is reminding us of how close we are to the coming of Christ for His saints.

I therefore urge Vincentians to get back to God and give Him our lives and let holy living characterize our life. Then we can escape the judgment of God. “For how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?: Hebrews 2:3.
