Make peace where possible

Nov.24.06

EDITOR: I am glad to hear from many, the call for more prayers. I must openly thank the Police for their part as far as crime and violence are concerned.

On the other hand, malice, hatred, envy and bad minds are rampant. I am appealing to those of us as Christians to take up this challenge.{{more}}

In Proverbs 27:5 we read that open rebuke is better than secret love. Christians, please stop being hypocrites and tell people when they are wrong regardless of their positions in this country. Matthew 5:9 tells us blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God. Try and make peace where possible. Too many of us go to our beds at nights with people in our minds and expect to wake up next morning with the same hatred.

I am telling you if we die in that state, hell will be our home later. I am always being offended when I hear people calling on the churches because on several occasions I tried to put articles in the papers without success.

Many of the things that I tried to publish are now happening. I usually know these things because I am spiritually motivated. Thank God.

I am speaking as an individual, not for any church. My advice to the nation is as follows:

Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17),

Quench not the Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19), and

Amend our ways (Jeremiah 7:3).

Jesus promised to remove our stony hearts and give us hearts of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). Jesus the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Read and digest Psalms 121 as often as possible. Let brotherly love continue (Hebrews 13:1). Things will be better for all of us.

Thanks for your co-operation while I wish all a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and all the best for the future.

I am your humble servant, Bishop Lester Frank of the Christian Pilgrim Spiritual Baptist in St Vincent and the Grenadines headed by the oldest Bishop of the Spiritual Baptist here, Bishop Conrade Sutherland in Windward Lowmans.
