Breathalyzers long overdue in SVG

Editor: I read with interest about the impending introduction of breathalyzers in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

This is a long overdue step and will go a long way towards curbing the number of drunk drivers who turn their vehicles into dangerous weapons whenever they are behind the wheel.{{more}}

I would also like to see all vehicles equipped with seatbelts and drivers and passengers being made to wear such. A look at the road fatalities in St. Vincent will show that most deaths occur when the persons are thrown from their vehicles.

Seatbelts will also deter the overcrowding of mini vans as they would only be allowed to carry as many passengers as there are seatbelts. Thank you for the space.
