Browne appointed Toastmasters Area Director
District 81 of Toastmasters International has announced Tamira Browne as the new Area Director for Area 21.
Browne holds the designations of Advanced Communicator Gold and Advanced Leader Silver in Toastmasters International. Her appointment will run from July 2019 to June 2020 and she will preside over the operations of three clubs in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines: Achievers Toastmasters Club, Imperial Champions Toastmasters Club and the Creative Thinkers Toastmasters Club.
Browne will be responsible for providing support to clubs for all members’ overall development of their communication and leadership skills. In addition, Browne will serve as the Chairperson of the Area Council which includes an Assistant Area Director for Program Quality, Reynold Baptiste; and an Assistant Area Director for Club Growth, St. Clair Stapleton.
Club Presidents serving on the Area Council include: Leanna James from the Achievers Toastmasters Club, Alicia Kirby from the Imperial Champions Toastmasters Club and Xelony Daize from the Creative Thinkers Toastmasters Club. Other members of the Area Council include: Nikala Williams, Jacqueline English, Raheem Hall, Arlette Miller and Leanna Sutherland.
The Area Council will assist in providing a supportive and positive learning experience in which members and prospective members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.
