CIBC/FCIB continues to support UWI Open Campus
CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank is once again proud to support the University of the West Indies Open Campus, St Vincent and the Grenadines as the educational institution celebrates 70 years of leadership and service to the region with its Annual Independence Lecture, renamed the Sir Dwight Venner Memorial Independence Lecture.
The lecture was delivered on October 30 by Dr Adrian Fraser, historian and previous Head of Site and Resident Tutor of the University’s Open Campus St Vincent.
Country Head of CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank Shelly Ann Samuel, said, “CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank has partnered with the University of the West Indies Open Campus in the past. This continued support represents our commitment as a corporate citizen to contribute to the development – through the education of the young leaders in our communities – here at home and regionally.”
The University of the West Indies expressed its gratitude for the continued support from the bank noting that the lecture, which was jointly presented by the Cave Hill campus in Barbados and the Open Campuses, is dedicated to celebrating the University and its role in national and regional development.
