Massy customers receive ‘Back to School’ rewards
An EC$1500 one-year scholarship, 25 free breakfast meals at Subway and school supplies are some of the gifts that were awarded to parents and students who are Massy Stores shoppers.
The gifts that helped eased the burden of eight parents were distributed as part of Massy Stores “Back to School – CEOs of Tomorrow” in-store and Facebook promotions.
Rewarded by the in-store promotion which ended on August 27 was Joane Gonsalves who took home the one-year scholarship valued at $1500.
Eligible shoppers were entered in the draw when they spent $50 or more, swiped their Massy cards and filled out a coupon and dropped it in the entry box provided.
The other winners and their prizes were Matica Toney who won herself 30 free breakfast meals from Subway; Faez Moussa who took away 25 free breakfast meals from Subway; Jamal Glasgow won 20 free breakfast meals from Subway, while a back to school combo pack (book bag, notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, ruler, sharpener, water bottle) was given to Cosmos Daniel.
Taking home the $250 cash prize as part of the Facebook part of the promotion, was Keneisha Gordon. The Facebook promotion asked persons to submit their best first day of school photo (from any year) and the winners were randomly picked.
The second prize in the Facebook promotion of two pairs of school shoes from Payless Shoe Source and Massy was won by Lee-Tonya Russell. The third-place prize of a $100 Massy voucher went to Josette Garraway.
Marketing Assistant at Massy Akene Keizer said the back to school promotions focused on promoting scholastic achievements as often times persons undervalue the impact an education can have on one’s life.
He added that parents do the shopping and the nurturing so Massy decided to reward loyal parents with prizes that help their children but also eased some stress off their pockets.
“Our aim is to get more families more involved in their children’s scholastic activities and remind everyone why school is so important,” Keizer said.
