NDP congratulates successful CSEC, CAPE students
The New Democratic Party has congratulated students who were successful in this year’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations and the Certificate of Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE).
“We know the students worked very hard in preparing for the exams, and that they relied on the support of their parents, guardians, teachers and friends. We fully appreciate that preparing these students is not without its challenges. We commend your efforts and applaud your success in surmounting the obstacles in school and the everyday social ills you encountered,” a release from the NDP said.
“To all the students who sat the examinations, we encourage you to stay focused and determined as you go further in your education or enter the job market. Nothing good comes easy! However, a good education, along with discipline and perseverance, will help you to secure a brighter future. This, in turn, will create a better, prosperous nation.”
President of the NDP, Dr. Godwin Friday, in commenting on the CSEC and CAPE results said, “I have congratulated many students personally and have encouraged them to keep striving for the best in their lives. To those who were not successful or did not do as well as they had hoped to do in the exams, I encourage you not to give up. We are aware that the education system is not without its shortcomings and challenges and we in the NDP stand ready to create the enabling environment that will provide all students with the opportunity to realize their potential more effectively, through traditional academic courses and innovative skills-related programs.”
“The New Democratic Party encourages all our students to continue to strive for excellence, and to seek always to defy the odds,” the release, dated August 22 said.
