Vee Jay’s Restaurant & Bar awards lunch scholarships
Three students who were successful in the 2017 CPEA exam have received lunch scholarships from Vee Jayâs Restaurant and Bar.
As part of the restaurantâs celebration of its 40th anniversary, Kayanna John and TâKiya Williams will receive lunch every day for the five years they will spend in secondary school. Kayanna and TâKiya are incoming first formers of the St Josephâs Convent Kingstown and were recommended for the scholarships by their head teachers, based on their primary school performance.
They are residents of Biabou and Barrouallie, the home towns of Vee Jayâs proprietors, Julia and Rudolph Richardson.
A third full lunch scholarship is expected to be awarded.
Meanwhile, Shamur Williams, the child of a long-standing customer, will receive a Friday lunch scholarship. He will attend the Thomas Saunders Secondary when school reopens next week.
