CIBC FirstCaribbean treats staff on International Women’s Day

A section of their workplace was transformed into a “spa” for the day, as the female staff of CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank was pampered on International Women’s Day.

Female employees at CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank were given the royal treatment, as they were treated to manicures and pedicures, as part of activities by the regional bank to mark the day, which recognizes the struggles and achievements of women worldwide.

Organizer of the event, Human Resources and Business Support officer Jacintha Hinds noted that the event was welcomed by the female staffers, who took the opportunity to “unwind and be recognised for the work that they do daily, both personally and professionally”.

But the day was not only about focusing on themselves, as several female staff members also found the time to give back, by visiting female inmates at Her Majesty’s Prison in Kingstown. There, they gave a motivational talk and presented the women with toiletries.

The inmates, as well as the prison staff, expressed their gratitude to the team for taking the time to visit and for the personal care items donated.

International Women’s Day was celebrated on March 8th. The theme of the day worldwide was “Be bold for change!”
