A release from the organization said the cost to produce Vincy Day this year was $31,000, which was offset by sponsorship, fund-raisers, the sale of parking permits and T-shirts.

“Sponsorship and fund-raising are essential for the organization to provide a great experience for all who attend. The committee looks forward to working with all sponsors, performers and entertainers dedicated to providing a bigger and better Vincy Day USA for 2017,” the release said.

Vincy Day USA 2017 will take place on August 19, 2017, at Heckscher State Park Campgrounds, East Islip, Long Island New York.

Vincy Day USA Inc is an Internal Revenue Service 501 (c) (3) and a New York State Charities Bureau registered not-for-profit organization, dedicated to the mission of educating the New York City public on the culture, cuisine, and history of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). Vincy Day USA was conceived out of the need to provide persons who migrated from SVG to the United States with information to aid in their development and education, strengthen bonds and to enable them to better integrate and assimilate into life in the United States, while at the same time, keeping our culture “alive and fresh”.

The release informed of two upcoming fund-raiser events: “Kiss of Vegas Casino Night,” taking place April 29, 2017, at Friends of Crown Heights (FOCH), 671 Prospect Pl, Brooklyn, New York 11216, and “Aromas of Vincy” food sale, which will take place July 29, 2017, at Friends of Crown Heights (FOCH), 1435 Prospect Place, Brooklyn, New York 11213.
