Students to be briefed on cyber-security, cybercrime legislation


The Ministry of Economic Planning, Sustainable Development, Industry, Labour and Information, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, National Reconciliation and Ecclesiastical Affairs, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) and the Director of Public Prosecutions, will be conducting a sensitization workshop on the Cybercrime Act.{{more}} This workshop will be held at the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2016.

The aim of the workshop is to provide students with information on the possible breaches under the legislation pertaining to cybersecurity and cybercriminal activities.

The workshop will target first year students of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College and fourth form students attending secondary schools throughout the island. Secondary schools will be joining the discussion online via the Internet.
