The St Vincent and the Grenadines Motorcycle Club is doing its part in helping care for the elderly in our society.

On August 28, the club’s members rode to Owia, to the home of 75-year-old Kenneth Loraine and his 72-year-old wife Josephine, where they donated a number of food items. The donation was done in the presence of the couple’s caretaker, Adeltha Nanton.{{more}}

According to Bronson Durrant, one of the club’s directors, Kenneth and Josephine suffer from hypertension, so the group thought the donation would be of assistance to the elderly couple.

He said that this donation is first of many, as the club intends doing one at the end of every month. According to Durrant, the recipients will be chosen by group members.

“We have riders all over SVG, so we are hoping that they can choose vulnerable persons in their communities. This is our way of giving back,” said Durrant.(LC)
