Two missing fishermen rescued in Grenada waters

Two fishermen who went missing at sea earlier this week have been rescued in Grenada.

The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Coastguard annouced yesterday that Ellis Roberts, who originates from Clare Valley and a male who goes by the alias ‘Swaller’, both residents of Kingstown,{{more}} were rescued in Grenada waters on the night of Wednesday, October 21, by a fishing vessel. They arrived on mainland Grenada early on Thursday.

The men left Kingstown to fish west of St Vincent at approximately 6 a.m. on Monday, October 19, but did not return to Kingstown on Monday evening, as was expected. They were onboard the vessel ‘Sunil’ with registration number J8-781CA.

A missing persons report was made to the Coastguard on the evening of Tuesday, October 20.

The Coastguard had requested aerial support from Trinidad and Tobago in search of the men.
