Dubbed by event organizer Josan Hoyte as “a patriotic pageant of class,” the show encapsulates the natural beauty and heritage of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Five beautiful, intelligent and talented lasses, representing national monuments and tourist attractions/ sites are vying for the prestigious princess crown.

These include 10-year old Alexcia Hooper РMiss Black Point; seven-year-old Capricorn-born Nakia Barker, Miss Falls of Baleine; petite Annika John (10 years), Miss Fort Charlotte; Kylie Phillips (9 years), Miss La Soufri̬re; 10-year old Tiquana Samuel, Miss Botanical Gardens.

According to Elizabeth Johnson, newly-appointed principal of the Park Hill Government School, “This pageant and variety show is a positive step in my thrust to bring the school to the community and ultimately bring back the parents to the school.”

Johnson opined that the schools that thrive and excel are those with strong parental involvement. She further hopes that with the marriage of promoting SVG’s natural beauty and embracing the parents, the motto “Excellence through Holistic Development” would be sustained.

The five lasses visited places of interest, including Beachcombers and Black Point, where photo shoots were done.

The show is expected to commence at 6:30 p.m., when the contestants will be judged in five categories, including the Ambassadorial Speech and Cultural Wear.

Guest acts include Lancelot “MADDSKULL” Gloster, Maxwell “Tajo” Francis, Vasita “First Lady” Cain and the sensational and controversial James “Jamesy P” Morgan.
