For those who will sit the Caribbean Primary Exam Assessment (CPEA) examinations in years to come, 10-year-old Nasya Robin is urging them all to “Never give up.”

The St Mary’s Roman Catholic School student was among this country’s top 10 CPEA performers, placing sixth for girls and seventh overall.{{more}}

“I’m happy and impressed with myself and also thankful to those who have helped me thus far,” the calm youngster told SEARCHLIGHT on Wednesday. “We did a lot of practice tests and we studied hard and it was hard work, so I’m glad it’s over. I’m glad that I got a good result from it.

Robin received 96 per cent for Mathematics and Science and 84 per cent for English.

The only child of Andrea and David Robin described her English grade as “bad’, citing that she was accustomed to 90s and was not so happy to receive an 84 per cent.

Robin, who takes part in swimming and likes to sing and dance, also told SEARCHLIGHT that she hopes to attend the Girls’ High School and encouraged younger students to be focused if they want to be successful in their examinations.

“Study hard, do your best and expect good of yourself,” the Arnos Vale resident said thoughtfully.

Robin is one of the three students from St Mary’s RC to place in the top 10 positions.(BK)
