NDP delegation heads to NY to attend town hall meeting


Leader of the Opposition and president of the New Democratic Party (NDP) Arnhim Eustace is now in New York, attending a number of events, including a town hall meeting.{{more}}

The meeting will take place this Sunday, May 31, at the Friends of Crown Heights in Brooklyn.

Eustace will be joined at the meeting by parliamentary representative for North Leeward Roland Patel Matthew and former parliamentarian and experienced engineer Glenford Stewart.

Issues ranging from employment, health care, Airport Development, Diaspora and Garifuna Affairs, Foreign Policy and Economic Growth are expected to be discussed.

A release from the NDP said the St Vincent and the Grenadines Progressive Organization of New York (SPOONY) will host the NDP delegation.

According to the release, NDP vice-president Dr Godwin Friday will lead the party while the party president is away.
