Police officers celebrate 23 years of service

Ten members of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force will be celebrating their 23rd anniversary as law enforcement officers on February 12, 2015.

The officers celebrating the milestone are Superintendent Leonard Fergus; Assistant Superintendent Benzil Samuel; Station Sergeant John Henry; Sergeant Carl Lewis;{{more}} Corporals 118 Vandy Bruce, 170 Vaughn Barker, Cpl 455 Alvin Gibson, 583 Keith McBarnette and 587 Asquith Simon; and Constable Steavan Derby.

Superintendent Fergus said the group is elated to know that they have served the Police Force and the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines for 23 years.

“It was challenging, but by the grace of God we have persevered,” said Fergus, noting that 10 members of the 38 who graduated in 1992 remain.

“We hope to continue to serve this organization and the country,” said Fergus, adding that the group would like to thank the commissioners of police from Randolph Toussaint to Michael Charles for the opportunity to have served under their tenure.(Police Public Relations)
