Free cloud storage for postpaid mobile customers – LIME


Hot on the heels of LIME’s substantial reduction of prepaid mobile data roaming rates, the company has launched My Cloud, a cloud storage service that allows their mobile postpaid customers, existing and new, to back up their most important files, photos and documents safely online.{{more}}

A release from LIME said ‘My Cloud’ is a value-added mobile virtual storage service that allows you to easily upload, download and access photos, videos, music and other digital files from smartphones, tablets, iPhones and PCs automatically and wirelessly, via the cloud.

When customers sign up for a LIME postpaid mobile data plan, they automatically get free 3GB of Cloud storage. After completing the data plan subscription, customers will be sent an activation link to their My Cloud service.

Existing customers simply need to visit any LIME store to activate My Cloud on their accounts.

“Surveys have shown that most of our mobile subscribers don’t use any cloud storage at all, and there are a lot of people who are new to the concept; so we are making it easy for them. With their important documents, photos, videos and music collections backed up online and synced with all their favourite devices, they can rest easy knowing they’re protected against data loss. This means no more panicking about damaged hard drives or lost laptops and tablets,” the release said.

“Launching ‘My Cloud’ now, is just another way of giving our customers the extras we know they would very much appreciate. A New Year presents many opportunities to capture moments, pictures, videos etc. So customers can now click away and back up their memories with My Cloud.

“Our mobile data plans are already the most competitively priced and affordable in the market, ranging from 500MB to 5GB packages. So this is just another bold step forward in the next phase of our technological transformation that we have promised customers,” the release said.
