Budget now scheduled for January 28

The Appropriation Bill, commonly referred to as The Budget, will be presented and debated in Parliament, beginning Wednesday, January 28.{{more}}

Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves, in an interview with SEARCHLIGHT on Wednesday evening said the debate will now take place on January 28, 29 and 30 and on February 2 and 3.

He explained that once the Estimates are passed before the end of January, he is allowed four months to pass the Appropriation Bill.

The Estimates were passed in December 2014.

The presentation of the Budget had been scheduled for Monday, January 12, but had to be postponed because of the tragic events at Rock Gutter.
