Courts donates bed to Rose Place family

Sleeping has been made more comfortable for a Rose Place family of five, thanks to furniture and appliance store Courts St Vincent Limited.{{more}}

Courts last week donated a bunk bed and bedding to Annis Bullock and the four grandchildren who are under her care.

Bullock, 57, is unemployed and for the past two years has been the main caregiver of her grandchildren, aged 12, eight, seven and four years old.

The unemployed woman finds it difficult to work because of chronic medical conditions, and only receives financial aid from the public assistance board.

She therefore finds it difficult to provide for the youngsters.

Her plight became known to Courts, who learned that Bullock and the children slept on the floor, since there is no furniture in the house.

Courts commercial manager, Lisa Veira presented the bunk bed to Bullock, who, expressed gratitude for the goodwill shown by Courts.

Veira said that the gesture was the least that the company could do to help a family in need.

Courts has been helping the less fortunate and needy over the years as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
