Mother offers reward for information on son’s murder


The mother of one of the three men murdered on the night of Saturday November 8, is willing to put up cold, hard, cash for information leading to an arrest in the death of her son.

Gloria Marks-Gomez, told SEARCHLIGHT on Wednesday that she would offer EC$3,000 to anyone {{more}}who gives information that helps to capture the killer or killers of Lawrence Marks, also known as “Lalow,” of Yambou.

Marks’ body was discovered in his community around 7 p.m. that day, with a bullet wound to his face. He was the first of three men to be killed on that day, and the 32nd murder victim of the year.

Later that night, Damien Blucher and his friend Keon Lawrence were murdered in separate incidents; Blucher in Glen and Lawrence in Kingstown Park.

Marks-Gomez, who resides in New York, USA, said she is putting the reward forward in an effort to get people who know about who caused her son’s death to speak to the police, so that she can get justice for her son.

The mother of six said that she does not have a lot of money, but it was hard for her to lose her first born, to violence, and would like to have closure in the matter, with someone being made to answer for his shooting death.

Marks was 48 years old.(JJ)
