Women trained as  caregivers for Mustique


Six young women completed a course of study in Childcare and Development at the Vinsave Child Development Centre, in preparation for work on Mustique with the children of guests to the island.

The course, which focused mainly on the practical aspects of childcare and development, saw the young women interacting with young children at Vinsave, developing materials and being exposed to other aspects of child development. {{more}}They also got a general understanding of work, work ethics and personal development.

The young women were also exposed to sessions with the St Vincent and the Grenadines Coastguard Service on Safety on the Beaches and in Swimming Pools, while the Red Cross Society taught them First Aid and CPR.

This comprehensive, yet short course of study has exposed the young women to various aspects of Childcare and Development as well as Personal Development.

The course, which is offered yearly, was funded by the Mustique Company.
