The three “aircraft rescue and fire-fighting vehicles” made their debut at the Campden Park Container Port on Monday at a ceremony which saw the machines being placed in the care of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, who will store them at the Arnos Vale airport.

The vehicles, supplementary equipment, spare parts and technical training for the operators were purchased from American Specialty Trucks Manufacturers at a cost of US $2.7 million.

Each truck has a capacity of 3,300 gallons of water, 460 gallons of AFFP/FFP (foam) concentrate and 550 pounds of dry chemical.(JJ)
